Better Walk-In Storage

Walk-In Wardrobe Storage Planned Around What You Own

Tired of searching for clothes, stacking shoes on the floor or losing accessories in crowded drawers? More wardrobe space alone won't solve these everyday frustrations.

A well-planned custom walk-in wardrobe gives everything its own place. At Paradise Kitchens, we plan hanging space, drawers, shelving, lighting and mirrors around what you own and how you get ready each day.

Clothes Packed Too Tightly

Stop squeezing shirts, jackets and dresses onto one crowded rail. A mix of short and full-length hanging space keeps clothes organised, easier to find and ready to wear.

Dark Corners Hide What You Own

Tired of searching through poorly lit shelves? Add lighting to selected hanging and storage areas so you can easily see clothing, colours and accessories without pulling everything out.

Shoes and Bags Take Over

Shoes piling up on the floor? Give footwear, handbags and hats their own shelves or compartments, keeping your wardrobe tidy and your favourite pieces within easy reach.

Smaller Pieces Disappear

No more digging through deep drawers for jewellery, belts or socks. Shallow drawers and dedicated compartments help keep smaller accessories organised and easy to find.

Open Storage Feels Too Busy

Prefer a cleaner, less cluttered look? Choose a combination of open shelving and enclosed storage, with hinged, sliding, glass or mirrored doors to suit your preferred style.

Awkward Corners Go Unused

Don't let narrow walls or difficult corners become wasted space. Made-to-measure cabinetry can make better use of your room's dimensions while keeping storage practical and accessible.

The Mirror Is Somewhere Else

Tired of walking to another room to check your outfit? Include a full-length mirror within your walk-in wardrobe so you can get dressed and check your look in one place.

Nowhere Proper to Get Ready

Need somewhere to lay out clothes or organise accessories? Where space allows, a vanity or centre island can give you a dedicated place for dressing, folding and everyday essentials.

Create a Wardrobe That Makes Dressing Easier

Walk-In Wardrobe Design

Create a Wardrobe That Makes Dressing Easier

A well-planned walk-in gives you room to see what you own, move comfortably and get ready without carrying clothes and accessories back into the bedroom.

We shape the cabinetry around the room so it feels intentionally designed, not simply filled with cupboards.

Layouts & Room Sizes

Find the Walk-In Layout That Fits Your Room

Start with the shape of the room, then plan the hanging, drawers and clear space to move around it.
The right layout should give you more storage without making the walk-in feel tight.

Narrow Rooms (Gallery)

Run storage along one wall, or both where space allows. It works particularly well for longer rooms and walk-through robes leading to an ensuite.

Corner Layouts (L-Shaped)

Use two adjoining walls for hanging, drawers and shelving while keeping more of the centre open and comfortable to move through.

Larger Walk-Ins (U-Shaped)

Use three walls for generous storage, giving you more room to separate hanging, drawers, shoes and accessories within the same walk-in.

Full Dressing Rooms(Dressing Suites)

Where the room allows, introduce a vanity, centre island or seating and create a dedicated place to dress as well as store.

Custom cabinetry and wardrobe

Inside the Walk-In

Choose the Features That Work for Your Walk-In Wardrobe

Not every walk-in wardrobe needs the same fittings. Some people prefer more hanging space, while others need extra drawers, shoe storage or a dedicated dressing area.

At Paradise Kitchens, you can choose the internal fittings and finishing touches that suit your room, clothing and budget.

Adjustable Shelving

Choose shelf heights and arrangements that accommodate folded clothing, shoes, handbags and other items.

Custom Hanging Rails

Plan single or double hanging sections to suit different clothing lengths and make better use of the available height.

Soft-Close Drawers

Add practical drawer storage with smooth, quiet closing for clothing and everyday accessories.

Pull-Out Accessories

Consider pull-out racks and organisers for belts, ties, trousers or other items where suitable fittings are available.

Integrated Wardrobe Lighting

Choose lighting for selected shelves, drawers or hanging areas to improve visibility and enhance the finished design.

Wardrobe Doors and Mirrors

Select hinged, sliding, glass or mirrored doors for the sections you prefer to keep enclosed.

Vanity and Dressing Island

Where space allows, include a dressing surface, vanity or island for added convenience.

Finishes & Materials

Let the Finish Set the Tone

A walk-in sits close to the bedroom, so its finish should work with the flooring, wall colour and surrounding joinery.

Compare materials side by side in the showroom and see how they look across a larger surface before deciding.

Melamine

A clean, durable option for internal cabinetry, with plenty of choice for creating a lighter, darker or more understated interior.

Woodgrain

Bring warmth and timber character into the walk-in without making every surface compete for attention.

2-Pac / Polyurethane

A smooth painted finish that gives cabinetry a more tailored appearance in matt or gloss.

Glass & Mirror

Use glass to display selected pieces or mirrored panels to bring more light and depth into the room.

FAQs

Walk-In Wardrobe Questions Answered

A few practical things worth knowing before you start planning the room.

What is a walk-in wardrobe?

A walk-in wardrobe is a dedicated storage area large enough to step inside. It can combine hanging rails, open shelving, drawers, mirrors and other storage so clothes and accessories stay together in one organised space.

Can you turn a spare room into a walk-in wardrobe?

Yes. A spare room or unused part of a bedroom can often become a walk-in. We look at the room shape, doorway, available walls and clearances before working out the best storage layout.

Can I have a walk-through robe to my ensuite?

Yes, where the floor plan allows it. A galley-style walk-in can work particularly well between a bedroom and ensuite because storage can run along one or both sides while keeping a clear walkway.

Do I need a window in my walk-in wardrobe?

Not necessarily. Airflow is more important than having a window. Paradise plans walk-in wardrobes to encourage ventilation so the room feels fresher and is less prone to damp or stale air.

Are your walk-in wardrobes Australian made?

Yes. Paradise states that its walk-in wardrobes are made in Australia using locally sourced or premium imported materials, depending on the finishes and materials you select for your project.

Walk-in or built-in wardrobe: which is better?

It depends on the room. A walk-in gives you space to step inside and can include a dressing area, while a built-in keeps storage along a wall and generally needs less floor space.
